Kalakand is a traditional Indian milk-based sweet made with condensed milk and paneer, known for its soft, grainy texture and rich, creamy flavor.
– 1 liter full-fat milk – 250g paneer (crumbled) – 3–4 tbsp sugar – 1/4 tsp cardamom powder – Chopped pistachios & almonds – 1 tsp ghee (for greasing)
Simmer 1L milk to half, stir constantly.
Add paneer to thick milk. Stir & cook.
Mix sugar, cardamom. Cook till thick & non-sticky.
Grease tray, add mix, spread smooth.
Top with nuts. Set at room temp 2 hrs.
Set, slice & savor homemade halwai kalakand!
Use fresh paneer, add rose water, store in fridge 4-5 days
