Swiss Roll is a light sponge cake filled with cream or jam, then rolled into a log. Perfect for tea-time or parties!
– 4 Eggs – ½ cup Sugar – ½ cup Flour – 1 tsp Baking Powder – Whipped Cream or Jam – 1 tsp Vanilla Essence – Icing Sugar for dusting
Whisk eggs & sugar until fluffy. Fold in sifted flour, baking powder, and vanilla.
Spread batter evenly on a lined tray. Bake at 180°C for 10–12 minutes until golden.
While warm, roll sponge in parchment paper. This prevents cracks and helps shape the roll.
Unroll, spread whipped cream or jam. Gently roll back into a log shape.
Dust with icing sugar Slice, serve, and enjoy your homemade Swiss Roll!
